Hi, my name is Jora Flora and I’m a support worker with a background in psychology and rehabilitation sciences. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at York University, focusing on counselling and mental health, and I’m currently working on my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Toronto.
My experience includes supporting youth as a Crisis Responder with Kids Help Phone, where I helped young people navigate difficult moments by listening, problem-solving together, and creating a sense of calm. I also worked as a Youth Facilitator with X Movement, leading fun after-school programs that focused on wellness, confidence, and connection for kids between the ages of 4 and 12.
Alongside my work in the community, I’ve been part of research teams studying topics like mental health, emotions, and social behavior. These experiences have taught me the importance of empathy, patience, and meeting people where they’re at.
I always try to create a space where people feel safe, supported, and heard. Whether I’m helping someone through a tough time or just being there to listen, I aim to build genuine connections and support people in whatever way they need.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know you and being part of your journey.

I graduated from George Brown College with a diploma in social services in 2022. My journey in the field of social work has been fueled by a deep commitment to helping those facing challenges in their lives, and that are looking to for support to make positive change.

Our hope to create connection, foster resilience and empowerment, before us. With gratitude, I was present for this powerful experience to nurture individuals with empathy, kindness, and compassion.
My experience is broad; however, I enjoy working with families and my passion lands-with caring for infants and toddlers.
With the educational background, passion to help others and over 5 years of direct experience in social service work, I look forward to connecting with you!
Sincerely,
Sharon
